Registration Desk

The Registration desk will be located in the County Suite Foyer. At the desk delegates will be given an envelope containing a badge and all necessary information concerning the meeting and social events. The registration desk will be open on Tuesday from 8 am till 5 pm and Wednesday from 8 am till 12 pm.

Workshop

The UK National Committee is organizing a workshop entitled “The IECEE CB Scheme as an Export Tool”. The workshop will include presentations on national market access programs including those for Europe, North America and the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India & China) countries.

Accompanying Person's Program

Visit to Royal Windsor for accompanying persons on 27th June 2012. The coach will depart from the Hotel at approximately 10.00 and return at 14.00. Please indicate on the registration form whether he/she will participate in the trip.

Arrival

Currency – The currency is the British Pound. Exchange rate as of the 12th December 2011 was 1.561 USD/£ and 1.1774 EUR/£. Foreign currency can be changed at the airport. Hotels, local banks. International credit cards are wildly accepted.

Weather – Normally the 2nd half of June is very nice with sunny days but cooler nights. The average temperature is 22-23 C.

Arrivals – The Radisson Edwardian Hotel is situated within minutes of Heathrow airport and approximately 40 miles from Gatwick by road. National Express Coaches run between Gatwick and Heathrow airports every half hour and a single journey costs around £25.

Transport (from Heathrow terminals to the Radisson)

Taxis – Always available and cost approximately £10-£15 one way depending on which terminal

They go every 20 minutes and the Radisson is the 1st hotel it stops at.

Visas – All participants are advised to check with the British Consulate for visa requirements.

Shopping – Local shops are generally open from 09.00 – 17.30 with some of the large Supermarkets being open 24 hours. Sunday trading is 10.00 – 16.00.

Westfield Shopping Mall (full of designer shops and a shopper’s paradise) is approximately 40 minutes away by train.

Electric Current – The UK is 230V +10%/-6% AC 50HZ, 3 pin square plugs are used.
